I had a great day today. All the adjustments were used and they had their positive results.
I think the children were even more involved and enthousiast than in the other school. It was because of the adjustments but also because of the children. The pupils were a little bit older. But it was also something else... I realised that there is a huge difference between children in a cityschool and children in a small villageschool. The children listen more in a village school, they are more calm and silent. The foreign students noticed this also.
It was also nice that the foreign students did more during the day. They gave examples, helped in groupwork and seemed more enthousiastic and happy than in the other school. It was also nice that there were two pupils who spoke some English. That made it also more interesting for the foreign students. They could help more in the groups because these pupils could translate things to the other pupils. You could see that the foreign students created more a bond with the pupils than yesterday.
I am very happy about how this day has been. I think that it was almost a perfect day. All the activities went very well. The children were really enthousiast. They said repeatedly that they liked everything. The smile on their faces and the hugs at the end of the day really made my day good!
